As I enjoy my typical Norwegian breakfast of cheese horn, fish and scalding hot coffee an LP entitled Midnight Cowboy (not the original soundtrack)is playing on my Swedish-modern hi-fi. People ask me why I have two grand pianos in my Telegraph Hill towerette. "It's an art installation." I reply. They just don't get it. Admittedly pianos don't leave room for a couch, not even one that can be resized with hedge clippers, but piano benches are excellent for sitting yoga, keeping the back straight. Comfy chairs only encourage slouching.

Like the Beales and Bouviers, I am very proud of my French heritage. The French (as you Norwegians may not be aware)are the world experts in selecting and appropriately displaying the perfect piano bench scarf with that certain "touch". I have 375 piano scarves in my hope chest. I have three musical instruments: a kazoo, a recorder and an electric bandoneon.
Ladron - If you like the kazoo, recorder and electric bandoneon you should check out the Portland band Sneakin' Out. http://www.myspace.com/sneakinout
Wouldn't Bow look cute in a piano bench scarf a' la the Beales?
