was the title of my best-selling nonfiction book. What to work on next? Since I'm reading the biographies of Nöel Coward, Isadora Duncan, Arthur Rimbaud and Stephen Spender simultaneously...perhaps I shall write a melange like Gödel, Escher, Bach. I think I'll call it Nöel, Isadora, Art. Spender will have to wait his day. All paths seemed to cross Spender's in the 30's, surpassing Kevin Bacon's synchronicity though I certainly wouldn't throw Kev out of bed for eating...bacon. The bio of Nöel is superb except the author says "I am going to dispense with Noel's beloved dieresis." I doubt that Gödel, Escher, Bach would have been taken seriously without the dieresis.

Oh dear. Kevin Bacon does count as a harbringer of the Four Pork Products of the Apocalypse, as in Six Degrees of Bacon. Right?
We missed you at the blog meet up. :(
Next time, yes? Your town, maybe?
The six degrees of bacon - fab!
the synchronicity of bacon and pork.... for here lies only 3 degrees...
I was watching an episode of "Upstairs, Downstairs" and Mrs. Bridges and Rose are talking about their obsession with ironing, and they joke that they may end up ironing the bacon. I wonder if that's a cultural norm somewhere. Like Diana Vreeland, I iron my paper money since it makes it feel so new.
